Today, I went to Brooklyn record shop Sound Fix. I browsed. I gathered. I stammered over how much to spend. When I brought my selection to the counter the cashier looked at me with head-scratching befuddlement.
“Venetian Snares and Bob Dylan?”
“Yup, I love them.”
“and Joanna Newsom?”
“Why not.”
I could tell his next question would be somewhere in the tone of where are you going with this? But, he charmingly chuckled and bagged my cds of entirely disparate genres.
